De functie

We zijn op zoek naar een bekwame en ervaren Senior DevOps Engineer om ons Censo platform team te versterken. Met het Censo platform helpen wij klanten verduurzamen door inzicht en advies te geven gebaseerd op gebruiks- en opwekdata van de klant.

Je werkt nauw samen met multifunctionele teams om de betrouwbaarheid, schaalbaarheid en zichtbaarheid van onze Microsoft .NET-georiënteerde te garanderen. Daarnaast ben je als onderdeel van het team medeverantwoordelijk voor de realisatie van onze applicaties. Directe ervaring in de energie- of duurzaamheidssector is niet vereist, een passie voor duurzaamheid en groene softwareontwikkeling is wel een waardevolle plus in het bijdragen aan onze missie om bedrijven CO2-neutraal te maken.

• Optimalisatie van de CI/CD-pijplijn: je stimuleert de verbetering en automatisering van onze CI/CD-processen, met als doel software frequent en stabiel naar productie te brengen.
• Observability en betrouwbaarheid: je neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor het inrichten van tooling waarmee het gehele team in staat wordt gesteld de betrouwbaarheid van onze applicaties te garanderen en problemen proactief te identificeren en op te lossen.
• Cross-functionele samenwerking: je werkt nauw samen met het product- en ontwikkelingsteam.
• Mentorschap en kennisdeling: je biedt begeleiding en mentorschap aan junior teamleden, waardoor een cultuur van leren en kennisdeling binnen het DevOps-team wordt bevorderd.

Het team

Je wordt onderdeel van het Censo digital development team. Binnen dit team ligt de focus op het ontwikkelen van het online platform van Censo waarmee onze klanten ondersteund worden in hun duurzaamheidsambities. Je zult nauw samenwerken met het development team, dat werkt vanuit onze vestiging in Nijmegen.

Onze ideale kandidaat

• Je beschikt over een HBO/WO werk- en denkniveau, en hebt bij voorkeur een ICT-gerelateerde studie afgerond.
• Je hebt minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in een DevOps of vergelijkbare rol, met een sterke achtergrond in het beheren van infrastructuur en tooling voor Microsoft .NET-applicaties.
• Je hebt bewezen ervaring met het ontwerpen, implementeren en optimaliseren van CI/CD-pijplijnen met behulp van tools zoals Atlassian, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD of Azure DevOps.
• Je hebt praktische ervaring met cloudplatforms (bij voorkeur Azure) en infrastructuur-als-code-tools (Terraform, Ansible) voor het inrichten en beheren van infrastructuur.
• Je bent vertrouwd met scripttalen (bijv. Python, PowerShell, Bash) voor automatisering van infrastructuurvoorzieningen, configuratie en implementatieprocessen. Daarnaast is ervaring in het ontwikkelen van C# applicaties een pluspunt.
• Je hebt gewerkt met monitoring- en observatietools (bijv. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Je hebt een passie voor duurzaamheid en bent geïnteresseerd in green software development.
• Je beschikt over sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden, met het vermogen om complexe technische problemen op te lossen en praktische oplossingen te bedenken.
• Je werkt je graag in een team en support je een positieve en ondersteunende teamsfeer.
• Je hebt relevante certificeringen in DevOps, zoals bv Microsoft AZ-400

The team

You will become part of the Censo digital development team. This team focusses on developing Censo's online platform that supports our customers in their sustainability ambitions. You will work closely with the development team, which operates mainly from our office in Nijmegen.

The job

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Censo platform team. With the Censo platform we help customers become more sustainable by providing insight and advice based on customer usage and generation data.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability and visibility of our Microsoft .NET-oriented. In addition, as part of the team you are co-responsible for the realization of our applications.

Direct experience in the energy or sustainability sector is not required, but a passion for sustainability and green software development is a valuable plus in contributing to our mission to make companies CO2 neutral.

The main responsibilities are:

• DevOps Culture: You will lead the cultivation and professionalization of the DevOps culture within the organization.
• Infrastructure and tooling: you are responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a robust and scalable infrastructure for our Microsoft .NET applications and database (PostgreSQL, Azure storage).
• Optimization of the CI/CD pipeline: you will drive the improvement and automation of our CI/CD processes, with the aim of bringing software to production frequently and stably.
• Observability and reliability: you take responsibility for setting up tooling that enables the entire team to guarantee the reliability of our applications and proactive identification and resolution of incidents.
• Cross-functional collaboration: you work closely with the product and development team.
• Mentorship and knowledge sharing: You will provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the DevOps team.

Our ideal candidate

• You have an Master’s degree or equivalent experience, and preferably have completed an ICT-related study.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role, with a strong background in managing infrastructure and tooling for Microsoft .NET applications.
• You have proven experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Atlassian, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• You have practical experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible) for setting up and managing infrastructure.
• You are comfortable with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployment processes. In addition, experience in developing C# applications is a plus.
• You have worked with monitoring and observation tools (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• You are passionate about sustainability and interested in green software development.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to solve complex technical problems and come up with practical solutions.
• You enjoy working in a team and support a positive and supportive team atmosphere.
• You have relevant certifications in DevOps, such as Microsoft AZ-400.
